Capping off its 25th anniversary season, the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at College of Lake County is hosting two eclectic professional tours this spring.
As seen on “America’s Got Talent” and based at the Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center, the ethereal Hiplet Ballerinas feature dancers of all shapes, sizes and colors.
This moving and fiery set combines hip-hop, Latin, African and other urban dance styles with classical ballet.
Their performance will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24. Tickets cost between $12 and $35.
Grammy Award-winning and Emmy-nominated Eileen Ivers is the rare artist whose imaginative virtuosity on the Irish fiddle has changed the musical landscape. In this special Mother’s Day show, this pioneer of Celtic and world music shares the stage with her ensemble during an afternoon of storytelling and uplifting music at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 8. Tickets are $15 to $40.

Masks are optional in public spaces for everyone at CLC and JLC. The JLC will have masks and hand sanitizer available. CLC has improved cleaning procedures in the theatre, restrooms and common touch points.
