Producer Pxrv (also known as Pxrv OTB or Parv) shares his thoughts on the use of high fashion and its influence on the music industry.

West London born producer Parwinder Marway aka Pxrv has been producing music for many years. He is behind releases such as Callin, Drunk, Heartbreak and many more, all available on digital streaming platforms. Pxrv, in addition to making music as a passion, loves fashion and shoes.

The use of fashion and sneakers in the music industry seems to have a common relationship, why? We asked Pxrv to give their thoughts and explain how we think the two come together in the entertainment industry today.

“I love hoodies and sneakers lol, really! To be honest, the lockdown lasted almost 2 years and rarely came an excuse where you could wear your best releases and feel good. The music videos and the photoshoots have become another excuse to wear your favorite drip and feel good”

In today’s pop culture and entertainment, artists and celebrities tend to go by the trendiest names, it’s almost become the norm. The rise of streetwear and sneaker brands completed the ideal. Even so, the songs are named and themed by fashion brand names around the world. Has the impact of containment and Covid created a surge?

According to Pxrv, he feels fans of fashion and streetwear brands were unable to dress their best and feel good, restaurants, bars and clubs were all closed, and socializing seemed too overdone. It is quite possible that the reopening of such places has created a rebound in the fashion world. Labels and brands released new collections, and consumers around the world flocked to try their luck on the latest pieces!

The future of fashion and music?

“There will always be a marriage between the two, I don’t think there’s an expectation of having or wearing certain brands, but there’s definitely an excitement factor to that! In the world of entertainment in general, we see our biggest inspirations flexing the biggest brands, and we won’t feel like our icons,” says Pxrv.

Will we see major collaborations between major artists from high fashion brands?
